Eric was very connected to his Jewish faith. Of course he had his Bar Mitzvah, but he continued his Jewish studies years beyond that. He visited Israel twice, once with his family and again on a Birthright trip with about 20 other Jewish kids. His Jewish heritage meant a lot to him and he was committed to raising a Jewish family.
